New Zealand Merino Wool Possum Fur
238m | Double Knit/8ply
Awa - a slightly greyed off aqua blue colour
This yarn is ever so soft, plump and squishy with a light haze - resulting in light but incredibly warm knits. The yarn is woollen spun, giving it plenty of bulk which means that you can use this yarn to knit your favourite 8ply, 10ply or light 12ply knitting pattern.
We've developed a snuggly learn to knit pattern to match this yarn - the Perfect for a quick but heartfelt gift, or as the perfect project to learn or teach someone to knit.
Possum Fur : Possums are an introduced species to New Zealand and as such are now a declared pest due to them causing so much devastation and destruction to our native forests, animal and bird populations. The creation of this yarn contributes to the ongoing efforts to battle this national pest.
Knitting with hand dyed yarns: as each skein will vary slightly in colour, we recommend that if working with multiple skeins in the same colour way that you work two skeins at the same time. ie working one or two rows/rounds with one skein, then swapping to the other. This will reduce the chance of obvious pooling of colour.
